Did mine in Photoshop.  Extra giant big, saved as PNG file with blank background.  *Then* you can resize to a smaller version - if you don't have/like Fireworks that is also a pretty clean way to do it.

Thick white stroke, inner shadow, gradient overlay, drop shadow...

Depending on what you're looking for I do some PS logo work on the side, sometimes even for free... 

We haven't even released, yet, and people are already trying to rip off the logo. lol

If I was trying to "rip off the logo", it would have been identical.   

Was bored one day, so I did some variations.
