SMF 2.0.1 and install: Modification parse error

Uploaded the zip to my Packages folder, tried to install, am getting this:

1.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install.xml    Modification parse error
   2.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install.xml    Modification parse error
   3.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-attachments.xml    Modification parse error
   4.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-attachments.xml    Modification parse error
   5.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-trackip.xml    Modification parse error
   6.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-trackip.xml    Modification parse error
   7.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-packages.xml    Modification parse error
   8.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-packages.xml    Modification parse error
   9.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-parsebbc.xml    Modification parse error
   10.    Execute Modification    install-xml/install-parsebbc.xml    Modification parse error

The other files are all fine.

Any ideas?

Try installing SimpleDesk using Package Manager, rather than uploading it then attempting to apply it.

Please use SMF 2.0 (instead of 2.0.1) to install simpledesk and see whether the problems are fixed.

The issue you're reporting is not a bug in SimpleDesk; plenty of other mods have encountered this in the past.

It is essentially a matter of your host, for whatever reason the files couldn't be accessed by the package manager once unpacked. Usually that means there's some kind of permission issue with the files.
