Wow, I leave for a little bit to start college, and ... things fall apart?

Um, Mind if I ask what happened?

I'm fairly okay at PHP, and currently have no job, so... maybe I could help out with some little things at first?

On my anime site we're using the Simple Desk for the following:

  • For requests to add content. [Request]
  • To track site bugs [Bug]
  • For site enhancement requests. [Feature]

SimpleDesk Discussion / Re: Reply Sort Order
June 02, 2010, 02:11:46 PM
Okay, now I know I'm going crazy.  Now all the replies are in the order I wanted, but I didn't change anything.  I viewed all the admin options, and my profile options under Look and Layout, and now all the replies are in descending order.

*goes to get a fifteenth cup of coffee*

SimpleDesk Discussion / Reply Sort Order
June 02, 2010, 02:06:45 PM
Would it be possible to add a feature that would change the sort order of the replies in a ticket?  At least for me, when I go through a ticket history, I find it a little awkward to read the last message first.  I'd like to read from oldest to newest.

Thanks!

My Dumb Question for the day:

What is SMF Marketplace?  is that like an e-commerce/store front or like an e-Bay auctions, or Members "Classifieds" or something?  sounds interesting whatever it is.

SimpleDesk Discussion / Re: Plugin system
June 02, 2010, 02:02:40 AM
So.... for example, slated in 1.1, you've mentioned a mini-wiki tag system where you can link in wiki-style to ...other tickets? (I'm assuming -- I only skimmed the feature list).

An example of a Plug in might be somebody expanding this feature further by allowing a more full blown wiki implentation inside of SimpleDesk (version history, maybe linking outside of SD, and into SMF topics/posts ... honestly though, I can't think of a situation where something like that would be needed -- but hey, you never know, right? ... which could lead a Wiki Main Page or Table of Contents or something...etc.)

SimpleDesk Discussion / Ticket Categories
June 02, 2010, 01:47:01 AM
Would it be possible a future release to include support for multiple categories?

For example, on my site, currently, I'm using the Helpdesk to track bugs/problems with the website in general.

Now, I'd also like to track Feature Requests too.  The idea is that, maybe I could assign a staff member to look into the request -- or better yet, have an option in the Admin panel to automatically assign a Staff member based upon the type of ticket being logged.

What do you think?

Edit:  I guess I spoke too soon...sorry, I was eager.  lol  I should have read this thread first, but... even though the two seem alike, there are some minute (I wonder if I misspelled that word?) differences    I see that this feature won't be in 1.1 :( , but maybe in 1.2? :) :) lol

Archived News / Re: SimpleDesk 1.0 RC1

Wow, I wonder what big bug it is you found. ...

You know, I've got this friend, Skuld...she's like a goddess ... and she has a cool hammer that she can squash 'bugs' with....I'll talk to her if you want, maybe she'll let you borrow it? :D

Anyway, from reading the tracker, this looks to be the Deletion bug?  So let me get this straight:

You have a ticket, and some replies, say there are five replies.  You want to delete reply number 2, so .... the system deletes the entire reply chain, or are you talking about deleting the TICKET (with replies assuming)?

If it's the first scenario, I would just add a field to the database table that's a flag, if it's a '1', then that post is 'deleted' and is filtered out of the display (admin's however, could still see the post, but shade it a different color).  If it's the second scenario, I'm a bit confused as to why the system would create a new ticket ID, but then again, I haven't seen the code either.... good luck!

General Discussion / Signature Progress

I noticed there is a signature with a percentage.  I'd like to know, having never done anything like it before, how do you automate the progress on the picture?

General Discussion / SMF Project
March 11, 2010, 09:17:45 PM
Hi all,

Just read about smfproject.net in the News board, and I've got a question.  I see that it's in use here, and I like what I see.

Can it support multiple projects at once?

Oh, and on a side note, how long is the post verification thingy in effect for?

SimpleDesk Discussion / Screen shots?
March 11, 2010, 11:18:21 AM
Did I miss this, or are there screenvshots posted somewhere?  If not, some would be really great to see for those of us who aren't part of the official team :)
