We where working on getting a language manager setup at one point.  There isn't enough developers/activity to keep working on it though.  You are welcome to convert the language files and upload them for others for now.

News and Announcements / Lets Git going!

With the loss of Gruffen, SimpleDesk development has stalled.  Today, I am moving into the developer position and will commit any free time I have left over from my other projects towards SimpleDesk.

SimpleDesk since before it first release, was decided to be BSD based.  This allows anybody to fork the work as long as they follow the guidelines we set with that.

In a major change, we have decided we should move from our current svn repository to git.  Most notably we are using GitHub as well.  It is my hopes that moving to git and putting up the repository up on github, we can encourage development of SimpleDesk.  As well allow future developers and enthusiasts to work with the SimpleDesk code.  In addition, I hope to see pull requests for bug fixes, feature additions, etc from those who have interests in the code.

In addition, we have moved our plugins and team mods as well to github.  Some of these plugins and modifications have not been released yet, but we welcome you to try them out.  Please remember that this is development code and it may be unstable or unsafe to run.

Without further ado, I give you: https://github.com/SimpleDesk

I still love this... and still use it.

If it were up to me, every kid in school would spend their first year of computer science at the command prompt... exclusively.

You would have a 98% fall out rate with 1 student of the 50 who is like me and goes, whats the problem :P.  The other 49 would be trying to use a mouse still and complaining about how long commands are.

Well for a mac either you replace the default image, or you run a simple command line option to change it.  You can also download software but where is the fun in that :P

I got windows to work though.  Had to do some regedit changes to get it to work.  Software didn't want to work :P  The method to change the login window is designed for OEMs to change it to do something like put their logo on it.

It needs to be simple thats it :P

Go ahead and have it.  I got another one I use as my login screen which is cool as well :P
I borrowed them off 4chan when a epic wallpaper thread was active on /w/ (or was it /wg/?).  Haven't seen that good of a wallpaper thread since.

Attached my login window image as well.

I should mention that it is much easier to change the login window on macs :P Windows can do it, but it seems like they only designed it for OEMs (again they forget about their end user).

It was wrote that way with intentions of making proper links under the development/ folder.  Project Tools standalone mode doesn't seem to like that though :(  Its supposed to support multiple urls in its code for things like this.

Was Dragoon Age 2 worth it?  I found the original ok, but not something that keeps me playing it.

I have unlimited data on my phone.  However being in the US, I can't tether my laptop to my phone (I can, but against TOS), so downloading 3 GB is unusual.

But finding a hotspot to get a wifi connection shouldn't be that hard.
