Install error message; so, I can't proceed

When I try go to:

http://mysite.com/subdiretory/helpdesk/install.php

I get the following error message:

Error: Cannot install - please verify you put this file in the same place as SMF's SSI.php.

Any thoughts?

Hello,

Is http://mysite.com/subdiretory/helpdesk/ the same folder as your SMF installation is in? Since SimpleDesk is an addon to SMF, they will need to be in the same folder. Besides, you should be able to install it through SMF's package manager, and then there should be no need to run install.php manually unless an error occured in the package manager.
