Title: Do I need SMF 2.05, and if I do, will it break anything?
Post by: tfs on August 15, 2013, 02:42:45 PM
Saw the SMF 2.05 update was out.  Does anyone know if it'll break SimpleDesk?

I run a SimpleDesk stand-alone system, using HTTPS only, and registration is by invite only.  Do I need to worry about the security issues fixed by the 2.05 patch?

I would still update it. It should not break anything.

While in your case I would consider the risk low, it is not non existent.

Thanks... will do the big backup and update then as soon as is practicable.

Shouldn't be any issue applying the update.  I just did here with zero troubles.  In under 2 minutes even.

Also note you should update to 2.0.6 which was released today :) Same deal as before, though, won't affect SD.

Thanks for this heads up Venguard.  I updated our live help desk this morning and it seems to be running OK so far.
