Site Comments / Re: Site downtime
March 27, 2010, 03:43:45 PM
The IP change was mishandled a bit :P a lot of it probably my fault.

However if the site goes down, feel free to email either me (usually I can get my email quicker than actually seeing if the sites down), and in the next few days I'll make sure that SleePy, Arantor and the rest of the team can contact SolarVPS in my absence if there are any issues.

I'd like to point out that I get an email every now and then from Douglas if there are any planned issues and that some of the issues we experience are down to us rather than a SolarBlip!

It's a Solar box alright :)

Paying the extra a month is worth it for ticket response times with Solar, always within 10 minutes.

SimpleDesk Team Blog / Re: The road to 1.0
February 23, 2010, 09:50:06 PM
Initially we were keeping the site rather quiet, nothing was being mentioned, and the support boards were in place for when we had something to support. Since then we have weaponised this site into becoming one of our primary marketing tools for SimpleDesk.

Along the way we've forged a structure out to support different things. Our beta team have been created in anticipation of the first beta release which is due very soon. Our quality assurance team are beefed up for code review. Marketing, Documentation, Globalisation, will all become active soon.

Gradually we've went from a simple install of SMF, to something rather amazing, rather quickly.

Also, 1.0 is well past half way now :D

Gri can we have a copy of the Global Quoting and Freedom of Thought mod?

We want to look over the code, but do not want to install it here...

Gri please play nice. Arantor is crucial around here and we will not be removing his administrator access.

Have you access to my forum memberlist currently ?

I am being forcely redirected to facebook advertisement instead.
Yeah it seems the template has been replaced with a redirect to that site. Upload a fresh set of Core/default templates to correct it. Also look for any .htaccess files in the /public_html folder or similar, open them and copy the code here please.

SimpleDesk is a modification for SMF.

The problem he has is an SMF issue and would be best resolved at Simple Machines.

That topic is in the wrong place, and this isn't the place for discussing SMF issues.

However we're quite happy to entertain your quotes :)

Well we're not going to lock any topics for this.

However we do have a struggle to understand what the goal is, and I think you have issues trying to communicate to us what the overall goal is of the "Gri World". Although I'm always intrigued.

How do you find other software such as vBulletin, and IPB compared to SMF?
