Even so, what are they going to commit? If they can't see the latest rev, they're of no use...
#3
I don't think it wise to give random people commit access =/

I think you can switch to the old one from your preferences, am I wrong..?

Sounds like I'd need to register =P

They got us used to it, and then they suddenly changed it XD

To be honest, it's not bad, but I definitely would prefer the old one, simply because I'm used to it. I really can't stand it when a site makes an abrupt change like this (announced in advance or otherwise) and doesn't even give its users a chance to switch to the older theme -.-

Boo wiki, boo youtube.

No Arantor, spanish_latin is fine. We only need to translate to spanish_es and spanish_latin.
#8
Ahh yes...but it will certainly be there eventually, and that is certainly better than having multiple people assigned to a ticket.

Assuming that is the case...

There are no plans to add this, and to be honest I don't really see there is a great need for it either in a conventional helpdesk environment (and likely it would complicate matters)

Indeed, and if someone is assigned to a ticket and needs help, v1.1 (I think?) will include a feature to help staff communicate with each other about the issue at hand.

I would like to help with the Spanish translation if posible.

I also need it and my region has very specific words. I can make those available after I am done translating it.

Thanks

What region are you referring to?

Clearly, you haven't met enough stupid people =P

I wouldn't say your questions were stupid though, [FailSafe].

No where. I learned C++ and Java by reading programming books, as for PHP, I just grab from my C++ knowledge bag and pray it works XD

Seriously though, I did do some research on php.net for the functions that php has, and Tyler (tyty1234) was a HUGE amount of help when I started off with php. But like I said, most of it comes from my C++ knowledge, which is similar enough to php for me to be able to get away with it (php was made in C++ =P)

As for when, Late last year ('round september), but, once again, it really helps A LOT that I have prior knowledge to a language that's fairly similar.

And meeting you was fate, it seems. You're a great guy. :D :P

If you believe in that kinda thing, then I guess so.

I figured I might post this for fun =P

Sorry I don't have a fancy SM.org get to know the team topic, but there's always my Dream Portal meet the team topic =P

Some of the questions on it are...interesting...to say the least, heh.

So, as I'm sure you all know, I'm hadesflames, Simple Desk Support Team member, Dream Portal Project Manager, and SMF Services administrator. I'm Cuban, born but not raised, currently 18 years young.

My first encounter with SMF was when I was very bored back in late 2006, did some googling, and found a forum that interested me. I signed up and had some fun on it for a while, but the interesting thing was that it was an SMF Forum, hosted on SMF For Free. Eventually, I wanted to make my own forum, of the same niche, so I signed up on SMF For Free. As time passed form 2k6 to 2k7, I started doing some support over at SMF For Free, don't bother going to look at what kind of support giver I was 3 years ago, because this was all before I took up the name "hadesflames" and I'll never say what my user name was back then =P

Right then, naturally after a while with SMF For Free, I outgrew its limitations, and went on to the full version, it was quite a change, but it was definitely better, so I stuck with it. A couple of years flew by and I met a certain guy named "Chris" or as we all know him, ccbtimewiz. This was back when he was a support team apprentice. For some reason, he loved my L avatar, and pmmed me about it. I replied and we ended up sharing contact details. He then got me to join one of his forums, but then a problem arose with the server, that I helped Chris out with. This is where we became "good" friends really, and I suppose that's when I earned his trust, because from that point on, I've always had full access to his server. Well, eventually Chris got me to join the DP Team, I became a developer soon after, decided to start giving SMF Support on SM.org because I didn't want one of DPs developers (me) to be some random guy no one's ever heard of.

As for Simple Desk, I recall going onto IRC once, and asked what everyone was up to. I believe it was trekkie who mentioned Simple Desk, so I decided to join. The rest is pretty much history, I became a beta tester, and then support team ;)

So that's basically how I came to be =P

Will the SimpleDesk Staff open an online orphanage for kitties, and if so can I have one? Pretty please?

Ask the ducks. ;)

I already took all the kittehs for meself! =]
