Theme main_block.png
« on: January 05, 2011, 02:35:08 am »
Hello,

I saw that the main_block.png here in simpledesk.net look nice. I would like to ask if I could use that main_block.png for one of my website??

Thanks,

Hi,

We haven't actually released this theme or any of its file to the public yet, so the answer right now would probably be no, you can't. However, after SimpleDesk 1.1 is out, we plan to create a new theme for this site, at which point this current theme (which is named Enkelbor btw) will be available to everyone. :)

I already downloaded simpledesk and try it soon. I downloaded the main_block.png from here and replaced the default main_block.png in default smf theme directory. It looks OK to me but still not as nice as here.

My question is can I use that image file? I did not mean to request the theme source. I hope simpledesk would not mind and I understand that I will use it at my own risk.

I'm afraid my answer will apply to only the image file as well. Until the entire theme has been released, none of its files may be used. The reason it doesn't look as good for you on your site as it does here is because we've not only changed that image for this theme but the CSS and index.template.php files as well. It's also not suited for SMF 2.0 RC4 yet.
